Varun Sheel is an indie-pop artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer known for bridging Bollywood-inspired melodies, western influences and immersive storytelling. Varun grew up in a musically rich household influenced by both Western and Bollywood music. His father, a classically trained Hindustani vocalist, taught Varun Indian classical music theory and vocal techniques at an early age. Since then, he has developed a unique sound that reflects both his heritage and contemporary influences. His breakout year in 2024 resulted in widespread acclaim by major press outlets with Wonderland Magazine hailing him as a “rising star” in indie pop and praising his ability to craft melodies that transport listeners across cultures and emotions. Throughout his career, Varun has also served as a teacher and mentor to musicians of all levels for over a decade, training them in vocal technique, song-writing, production, branding, marketing and how to navigate the modern music industry. His goal is that every artist should have the tools necessary to express themselves, tell a story and connect with audiences worldwide.
