It is an unfortunate truth but most will not reach their fullest potential

I see this all the time with people walking through my doors who have a great start but never pull themselves forward to actually do the work to be the best vocalist they have the ability to be. There can be a multitude of reasons and some better than others but it always saddens me to see so many get in their own way. Another truth is we all desire to get along with people and “fit in” but most who climb the ladders higher and higher towards their biggest goals tend to have to leave this comfort behind. The road to success is not always a smooth or easy one. I would argue the old saying, “it’s lonely at the top” is not necessarily true but some may not desire to reach as high and be left behind. We all must choose, and we all must decide to take the steps.
Personally, I am always trying to push myself to make sure I am not staying stagnant. I do not want to look back and wish I had done something about it. No one is perfect and we all falter but I would rather dive in than only dip my toes. So maybe I walk out, and I didn’t get what I wanted.  Maybe it wasn’t what I thought it would be but dang it, I will always feel good about the fact that I did it. I am learning this more and more as I continue my journey in the world/industry.  So, to whatever degree this resonates with you I hope it inspires you to push your limits and if you have a desire to do something, do it!
